TCRNo10 – Preparations – Update 1

The preparations are going OK. Decided to revisit a number of things, maybe too much.

Foirst, I am getting help from a coach with extensive experience in coaching athletes for ultra distance raicing, to structure my training. It helps a lot. Focus is to improve VO2 Max i.e. to raise the top and “pull” the bottom up in the process. It hûrts, VO2Max training sessions are not fun, but it feels great afterwards.

After the RAI I looked at power numbers and times for me and the fastest riders, and found that I should be able to go faster with the same power numbers, so over the last weeks I have embarked on a path to improve my aerodynamics. That has helped.

Some things I have wanted to change for a while, so I went on with that. Notable the width of handlebatrs, addition of clip-on aero bars and the position of cleats and saddle.

It is a lot of changes a few weeks before the start, I hope I get used to it.

New helpmet day 😊

And then I also got a new Corsa helmet 😊- it is the best fitting helmet I have ever had.
